The Scandal over the Will of Beryl Ferris, former Latin Teacher of Frensham School

Beryl Ferris, a spinster, devoted her working life to teaching Latin at Frensham school. She promised that her estate would be left to Frensham School to create scholarships for girls whose parents’ income was beyond their reach or found themselves in financial straits. Many former students were shocked and angered by the final outcome of her will which was only revealed after her funeral at St. Mary’s, Sydney in February 2015.
